2nd Primrose

Finished Barn

Furnished Cat House - Primrose

The Cat House has now been furnished! The black cats are representative of PJ and Panther, my Mother In Laws two cats. The house is a present for her for Christmas.

Wildwood Barn Dollhouse

I am building the Wildwood Barn for my Daughter for Christmas. She loves horses and I thought this would be great for her. I am using Gorilla glue and my husband is nailing it for extra support. I am going to paint it red like the barn in one of her books that she loves.
This kit is also made for the Breyer Horses on the 1:12 scale.

The Chantilly

This is the first house that I built. I absolutely love the front of this house with all the trim. It is very red but I wanted to make it just like it looked on the front of the box.
It was so much fun and frustrating to build - as I am sure any big house is. It probably was not the best house to be my 1st build but I sure did learn a lot.
I still have a lot of detail work to finish on this house..touch up paint, shingles on the back, roof trim, it is missing a door knob, and various other items. There is a part of me that wants to keep it put away until I get the motivation to finish it all and make it just right but my dear dollhouse friends have given me the courage to display it anyway.

Victorian Room Box

Victorian Living Room Room Box
This is a room box that is an almost exact copy of a Victorian Living Room in my Father and Step Mothers house.
I started with just 5 plain boards that I made into a room box and then built the windows on and cut a hole for the door. The walls are painted in Benjamin Moore Less Brown and True Taupe. The flooring is Houseworks Walnut which I put 3 coats of polyurethane for the shine. The crown moulding and base boards are painted with a gloss white.
I wish I could take credit for the curtains but they are from a wonderful seller on Ebay - Chantilly Miniatures. The sofa was pink but I refinished it to the green that matches the original, same with the white table top. The photos on the side table are the actual photos. I just shrunk them down to size. Almost all of the art work is the same and it is the same genre if not. I made the blue and white balls out of clay, baked them, and put a coat of clear sealant on them. I used a light strip attached to the back with a small transformer to give the room light.

I put a water bottle in one of the photos so you can get an idea of the scale.
